The
Artist - Spezzaferro Tool Paths (Toronto, Ontario)
Spezzaferro excels in
producing one -off prototypes and custom work for any application.
Serving the Toronto area and clients in Ontario and the North East
US, Spezzaferro Tool Paths was launched as a contract programming
service for manufacturing businesses looking to reduce lead times.
With their experience in programming complex parts, Spezzaferro
has not only the know-how, but now also the ability to accurately
machine them.
His work
No job is too simple or too complex
for Spezzferro, who works with different materials, exacting high
precision pieces from their Precix
CNC router. Spezzaferro Tool Paths works mostly aluminum, wood and
various types of plastic, though they frequently machine jobs for
customers out of other materials. Spezzaferro excels at creating
small, high tolerance pieces with their Precix, like the .002"
tolerance plastic clips on the right. Many of their pieces make
use of Precix's legendary 3D capabilities, like the Odyssey grille
at the bottom right.
His
tools
Spezzaferro
uses a belt drive 5100 Series Industrial CNC router. "The 4 x 4
industrial that we purchased in 2004 has pleasantly exceeded our
expectations. It's exactly as [Precix] advertised it, and then some".
"The user interface is logical and easy to master -- we were setting
up jobs the same day we plugged it in." Spezzaferro say good things
about the controller of the machine: "It allows the router
to move at high feed rates when cutting complex 3d shapes, just
like machine centers that cost several hundreds of thousands of
dollars. It is a real sight to see it in action !"
Thanks, guys...
